Andy, you made us feel so comfortable right from the start when picking us up from the airport, until the moment we left! Your cooking is just amazing and if I could have you as my personal chef I’d definitely turn a full time vegetarian/vegan! “I arrived at Happy Retreats and expected a peaceful yoga retreat, what I got was a life changing experience that I will treasure forever. From the moment we arrived, Andi was warm and welcoming and we settled in very quickly with a wonderful meal and a dip in the pool, overlooking the beautiful mountain scenery. The rest of the days that followed were simply sublime. The combination of morning yoga classes, spiritual workshops and meditation and nidra yoga at night opened up a new world to me, and helped me learn new skills that I can continue to practice at home. The rest of the time was incredibly relaxing and I was happy to spend it with so many inspiring people. Everything from the nutritious and homemade food, beautiful surroundings and wellbeing sessions made it a trip I will never forget. Thank you to Andi and the team! “

“Truth talk. I’m Lieke and I’m currently in the middle of a burn-out. It took me a while to acknowledge that, but here it is. How did I get here, you ask? The classics: lots of changes in my life in a short time period, I just kept on running (not literally, I’m NOT a runner;)), keep up with really great but also busy jobs, try to cope with big losses, apply extreme perfectionism to everything I do, and I take no time to reflect on how I’m really doing. 
All of that lead to the moment my body just stopped. Panic attacks, severe back pains (so severe I could hardly walk without taking meds), constant anxiety: the works. I’d been denying the symptoms for quite some time, I simply didn’t have time or space to look at myself, or so I thought. Until I broke down and finally, thanks to my friends and colleagues, arrived here. 

One of my biggest challenges is to listen to my body and to take rest when I need it. I don’t like to rest. When resting, I feel guilty about all the things I could’ve done but not doing. That’s why I decided to go on a “yoga, revive and re-energise” retreat. I kinda thought that a retreat was vague and (to my taste) overly spiritual, but the retreat I had was simply fantastic. After a week at @happy_retreats, I feel rested, energised and happy. I do know that the real challenge will be to apply these new resting skills to my busy, big city and if I may say so, quite amazing life back home, but I’m certain I will get there in the end. 
This is not an ad, but a sincere recommendation: if you ever want to escape, rest, play, craft, swim, rest, eat amazing fresh and vegetarian food, walk, laugh, dance, make friends for life, rest, enjoy beautiful tropical surroundings, sunbathe, sleep, and oh yeah, rest: please visit Andi and Terry at Happy Retreats in the South of Spain. They’ve created a peaceful haven and I want to go back NOW.

“Happy retreats is set in the most beautiful park, it was easy to feel immediately relaxed here and it really was a home from home. Andi is a wonderful host, I requested a relaxing retreat and it was 100% achieved! The week I spent there was well planned to ensure there was an activity on offer each day, but with no pressure to get involved and plenty of down time to make use of the pool or craft supplies on offer. The highlight for me was the bodega visit, our group had such a fun filled day. Every single meal was beautifully made with soo much passion and ample choices. I definitely recommend and can’t wait to return 🙂 “

“What a beautiful week, in a beautiful place, with a beautiful group of people.

I live with a chronic health condition and was a little apprehensive about my stay, but Andi instantly made me feel welcome. She is the perfect host: kind, thoughtful and helpful. She has created a warm, friendly and relaxing environment, and I felt at ease whether it was having some quiet time alone, or joining the others for chats, crafting, or chilling.

I loved the morning and evening yoga classes, what a treat to practice outdoors under canopies of palm trees. Lee-ann is a knowledgable and thoughtful teacher, her passion and enthusiasm shine through.

The food was yummy, plentiful and beautifully presented, and I’m grateful my gluten intolerance was catered for with such ease.

The grounds are lovely to meander through, a calming oasis of greenery, flowers, and citrus groves, and I loved chilling out by the freshwater pool, perfect for cooling down in. It really is a little slice of heaven.

I can’t wait to return… “

Francesca is an absolute gem, there to assist. What an asset! And then there was Lee-Ann our yoga teacher during my stay. What can I say… a true yogi down to her bones. Extremely knowledgeable and interesting. A superb teacher who genuinely cares about her practise participants. She built our practise around what we needed and what we wanted with experience and expertise…. with some little happy giggles here and there! 

Cannot recommend enough… if you need to be completely looked after, left alone in peace, be active, creative… it’s all available.  I thank you all so so much 💜🙏😘”
